Meditation

Embrace the present moment through breathing exercises. Train your mind to induce a mode of consciousness to reach inner peace. Harriet will guide you through the meditation of your choice. Types of meditation can be discussed with Harriet after booking.

 

Vinyasa

Faster pace, aerobic. Promotes deep and even breathing. Linking breath with each movement and pose. The class begins with slow movements and builds into sun salutations and a series of poses to help balance the body. Class ends with some nice deep stretches and a 5 minute relaxation.

 

Yin

Slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time to target the deep connective tissue between the muscles and the fascia throughout the body. Yin yoga is great for increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Be prepared to let go on any unnecessary tension in the body and allowing the mind to de-stress and wind down with candles and essential oils.

 

Restorative

Revitalize the body by increasing circulation to the organs and calming the nervous system through breathing exercises.  A sequence typically involves only five or six poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Held for 5 minutes or more, poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends. Harriets Restorative classes are super relaxing, taught with essential oils and choice of candles.
